The company's Alaska operation consists of the state-of-the-art processing facilities, G1 and G2, in Dutch Harbor, Alaska. UniSea also operates a secondary processing facility in Redmond, Washington. UniSea's quality surimi is produced for many special markets with specific characteristics desired by the customer. The company also produces a number of other co-products including quality fish meal, fish oil and bone. UniSea's fish meal is known for its consistent top quality. The fish oil is used as fuel in the fish meal production process and is also a popular product marketed in Taiwan and Japan.

Fresh cod exports grow but frozen cod sales fall Norway
A total of 5,700 tonnes of fresh cod, including fillets, were exported with a total value of USD 25.2 million in May, representing a 4 per cent growth in volume and a 12 per cent increase in value, according to the Norwegian Seafood Council.
