Marine Harvest closes a record quarter thanks to high salmon prices

Marine Harvest Group recorded operational EBIT of EUR 220 million in the first three months of this year, representing a 96 per cent increase from EUR 112 million in the corresponding quarter of 2016.
The group's operational revenues totalled EUR 892 million in the first quarter this year, which implies a slight growth from EUR 810 million in the same period last year.
“Driven by all-time high salmon prices, we achieved record high operational results in the first quarter. It is especially encouraging to see strong operational performance in Marine Harvest Scotland and Marine Harvest Canada,” pointed out the group’s CEO Alf-Helge Aarskog.
