Mr. Lars Olofsson is Managing Director (CEO) of Carrefour SA as of January 1, 2009. He has spent the greater part of his career within the Nestle Group. He held several positions prior to becoming Chief Executive of one of the company’s subsidiaries in France in 1992 and subsequently of the Nordic region in 1995. In 1997, Mr. Olofsson was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive of Nestle France, before being named Executive Vice President of the Nestle Group in 2001, responsible for all European activities. In 2005, Mr. Olofsson was promoted to Executive Vice President of the Group, responsible for strategic business units, marketing and sales on a global level.
