This market reports focuses on catfish in the US. It deals with harvests, prices, markets and imports of the species.
The average price of fillets –basa and panga- imported in February was USD 2,866/t, similar to that of January and down 16% on that of February 2015. During the first two months of the year the average was USD 2,860/t, down 17% on that of the same period last year.

In February, incoming volumes of frozen fillets of basa and panga reported 12,397 tonnes, worth USD 35,524,000 CIF, up 14% in volume and 15% in value on those imported in the previous month and up 43% in volume and 20% in value on those imported in February 2015.

In the period, they totalled 23,256 tonnes and USD 66,507,000, up 24% in volume and 3% in value on those of 2015.
