Prices
In March, the average price of fresh fillets at Customs was up 54% on that of the previous month and 7% on that of March 2012. The price of the frozen presentation was up 10% on that of the previous month and 2% on that of March 2012.

Markets
In March, imports of fresh fillets reported 2,543 tonnes, worth USD 21,347,000, up 6% in volume and 12% in value on those of February. During the first three months of the year, exports reached 7,224 tonnes and USD 59,713,000, up 177 % in volume and 196% in value on those of the same period in 2012.

Imports of frozen fillets reached 6,681 tonnes, worth USD 33,536,000 CIF at Customs. These figures are down 47% in volume and 41% in value on those of previous month and up 4% in volume and 6% in value on those of March 2012. In the first quarter of the year they totaled 36,815 tonnes and USD 170,431,000, down 10% in volume and 13% in value on those of the same period in 2012.

During the period, imports of other products (whole, H&G and gutted, HS 0303890040, former 0303790040) totaled 9,123 tonnes, worth USD 18,106,000 CIF at Customs.
