The average CIF price of fillets –basa and panga- imported in May was USD 3,029/t, up 3% on that of April and down 9% on that of May 2015. During the first five months of the year the average was USD 2,915/t, down 14% on that of the same period last year.

In May, incoming volumes of frozen fillets of basa and panga reported 10,558 tonnes, worth USD 31,982,000 CIF, up 17% in volume and 20% in value on those imported in the previous month and up 1% and 9% respectively on those imported in May 2015.

In the period, they totalled 51,757 tonnes and USD 150,873,000, up 14% in volume but down 2% in value on those of 2015.
