The average CIF price of fillets –basa and panga- imported in May was USD 3,319/t, down 3% on that of April and 6% on that of May 2014. During the first five months of the year the average was USD 3,407/t, up 6% on that of the same period last year.

In May, incoming volumes of frozen fillets of basa and panga reported 8,867 tonnes, worth USD 29,427,000 CIF, down 5% in volume and 8% in value on those imported in the previous month and dopwn 70% in volume and 60% in value on those imported in May 2014.

In the period, they totalled 45,324 tonnes and USD 154,414,000, up 15% in volume and 22% in value on those of 2014.
