This market reports focuses on catfish in the US. It deals with harvests, prices, markets and imports of the species.
The average price of fillets –basa and panga- imported in June was USD 3,340/t, up 10% on that of May and 4% on that of June 2015. During the first six months of the year the average was USD 2,998/t, down 11% in value on that of the same period last year.

In June, incoming volumes of frozen fillets of basa and panga reported 12,570 tonnes, worth USD 41,978,000 CIF, up 19% in volume and 31% in value on those imported in the previous month and up 34% in volume and 40% in value on those imported in June 2015.

In the period, they totalled 64,327 tonnes and USD 192,851,000, up 18% in volume but down 5% in value on those of 2015.
