  (UNITED STATES, 10/26/2012)

The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) has announced that Kwik'Pak Fisheries LLC. has successfully met the requirements of the FAO-Based Responsible Fisheries Management (RFM) Chain of Custody Certification.

Kwik'Pak Fisheries joins Triad Fisheries Ltd, Glacier Fish Company, LLC, Seafood Producers Cooperative, Icicle Seafoods, Inc.Ocean Beauty Seafoods, LLC,, Canadian Fishing Company and Peter Pan Seafoods, Inc. in attaining Chain of Custody to the RFM certification.

The Yukon River unique fishery is the last Native American fishery of its kind in Alaska and, while fishing is still done following age old traditions, community-owned Kwik’pak Fisheries operates a modern processing plant in Emmonak, Alaska where Kwik'pak focus on strict quality standards to produce the most delicious salmon

The RFM Chain of Custody certification means seafood buyers and their customers can have confidence that the seafood they are buying can be traced to an Alaska fishery that meets the RFM standard.
