The Trondheim Trawler designed by Max Zhivov.

World's First Electric Powered Quiet and Efficient Trawler

  (NETHERLANDS, 2/2/2017)

The main idea of the Trondheim Trawlers project is a revision of classic trawler design and usage of innovative electric technologies. According to its designer, Max Zhivov, this is the first project of a fishing trawler with an electric motor.

Preserving the ocean environment for future generations was a key priority both for him and the company. Zhivov says: "First of all we decided to analyze what are the main requirements for a yacht trip. We think that efficiency and ecology are the main. So in our project we put in the first place nature reserve."

The trawler is a vessel of expedition class A Ocean.

The trawler is designed for extended voyages where conditions may exceed wind force 8 (Beaufort scale) and significant wave heights of 4 metres and above but excluding abnormal conditions.

The trawler provides comfortable accomodation for 6 people.

The 40-ft (12-m) vessel is equipped with two Torqeedo brand Deep Blue i 1,400-rpm electric motors, which will be powered by two battery packs. One charge of those batteries should allow 6 hours of cruising in a total quiet like on sailing yacht.

The trawler is equipped with 2 "Torqeedo" electric motors.

The boat has A class power efficiency, this means it has over 30% longer range with the same fuel storage like other 40 feet trawlers have. Two 25 kw generators supply on board electronics for high level comfort: heater, conditioner, stabilizators, so you will feel comfort all day and night

Max Zhivov.

The Trondheim 40 trawler is designed with a metal hull and 2 engine system, that allows to go into shallow and icy waters, like Alaska or the Norwegian fjords, even in winter time that is not recommended for plastic boats.

The trawler has other advantages such as bigger storage spaces because of the small size of electric motors allow to add storage spaces and can accommodate up to six people on board.

Even when the generators are on, the trawler produces lower noise: "As you know generators with noise shields have 40% less noise from diesel engines and they don’t work in full 100% power, so you will feel like on sailing yacht under the sail", says Zhivov.

About Trondheim Trawlers

Trondheim Trawlers is a project that is looking for investment to make a revolution in the fishing trawler industry.

The company is offering to share the project by selling US C Corporation shares with a start valuation of USD 2.500.000. The investment also offers the use of the boat for 1 month, depending on your investment.
