The Saucy Fish Co. Expands Into Europe

The Saucy Fish Co. has secured three new major retail accounts in France and Denmark for range of frozen fish with accompanying sauces.
The latest additions to the range of products, which will be available in France and Denmark are: Salmon with Chili, Lime and Ginger Dressing, Herb Crusted Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce, and Smoked Haddock with Vintage Cheddar and Chive Sauce. The brand, part of Icelandic seafood group Seachill which was acquired by Hilton Food Group in October, has a range of nine products which are now available in eight countries.

Franprix, a French grocery store chain of the Groupe Casino, will stock The Saucy Fish Co. products across 180 stores, mainly around the Paris area. Denmark's largest retailer Dansk Supermarked, which owns several chains of stores - Netto, Føtex, Bilkaand Salling, will stock the range in 410 Netto, 67 Føtex and 17 Bilka stores, across the country.

Joining 15 of the range of chilled products, which began with Sainsbury’s and then followed by Tesco, is online supermarket Ocado, becoming the fourth retailer in the UK to stock the frozen range, introducing the new Frozen Herb Crusted Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce, alongside Sea Bass with Salsa Verde, Basa with Asian BBQ Sauce and Thai Spiced Fishcakes.
