Dr. Praeger’s new gluten free, grill-ready Fish Burger.

Dr. Praeger’s Launches New MSC Certified Wild Caught Alaskan Seafood Bites and Burgers

  (UNITED STATES, 3/19/2018)

Fresh-caught flavor is making its way to freezers across the country with four new frozen seafood products from Dr. Praeger’s, a family-owned company known for its best-selling veggie burgers.

The new wild caught Alaskan Pollock fish bites and burgers are nutritiously dense and high in protein with no saturated fat, trans fat or preservatives, and are the only Marine Stewardship Council certified fish products with added vegetables – carrots, celery, bell peppers, leeks and more – making them the veggiest catch in the aisle.

Fresh-caught flavor is making its way to freezers across the country with four new frozen seafood products.

“More and more consumers, particularly millennials, are looking for the convenience of quick, nutritious meals and snacks right from the freezer – and they’re turning to sustainable seafood as a healthy alternative to meat,” said Larry Praeger, Dr. Praeger’s CEO. “Fish is a great source of protein. Incorporating veggies adds flavor and nutrients, and options like bites and burgers make them easier to eat any time of day.”

Crunchy and dippable, Dr. Praeger’s new Fish Bites – snack-style finger foods – boast 11-12 grams of protein per serving; available in two zesty flavors:

  • Fish Taco Bites: Cilantro, jalapeño and a hint of lime give these bite-sized, wild-caught Pollock bites their flavor, and a crispy tortilla coating lends crunch.
  • Buffalo Fish Bites: Buffalo seasoning gives these crunchy breaded bites of wild-caught Pollock a kick of heat, while celery and carrots balance out the popular flavor profile.

Flavorful veggies and up to 10 grams of protein set Dr. Praeger’s two new gluten free, grill-ready Fish Burgers apart for those looking for a lean alternative to red meat:

  • Spinach Potato Pollock Burgers: Wild caught Pollock with spinach, potato, onion and leeks; 9g of protein per patty.
  • Black Bean Chipotle Pollock Burgers: Wild-caught Pollock is blended with black beans, veggies – including corn, red peppers, onions and more – and a spicy chipotle seasoning; 10g of protein per patty.
Dr. Praeger’s Sensible Foods has delicious and convenient frozen food options for just about any type of lifestyle and families of all ages.

The new Fish Bites – available in 10 oz boxes – and four-pack Fish Burgers are at Whole Foods Market, Kroger Co. retailers, and select natural food stores and conventional grocers nationwide, with a SRP of $5.99.

Dr. Praeger's is continually working to expand its range of products to add new flavors and options that are as delicious to eat as they are easy to serve.
