New X-ray Waterproof Inspection System

  (JAPAN, 12/1/2009)

Ishida has released a new X-ray inspection system, IX-GA-DK series, with IP-69K waterproof construction to be used for seafood, meat, poultry, and other food processors requiring wash down construction.

Ishida’s IX-GA Series X-ray Inspection System offers the highest level of performance for every production process. Foreign substance as metal, bone, shell, plastic, hard rubber and pebbles, product defects and improper weight are detected.

By now, x-ray inspection systems have been used in various food-producing factories such as general foods, frozen foods, confectioneries, dairy products, meat, seafood, nonfood, and others.

Especially in the production lines like meat, poultry, or seafood that are handling law products or materials, thought cleanup is required in order to keep factories' hygiene standard. In case of the x-ray inspection system, washing by high-pressure water is inevitable because such adhesive products are accumulated on conveyors or other parts of machine during operation.

The newly launched IX-GA-DK morel is highly waterproof of IP-69K rating. With its unique construction, the new model is able to completely keep water from entering inside the x-ray machine and withstanding high-pressure water while it keeps inspection sensitivity as high as the IX-GA series. Thanks to the enhancement, the IX-GA-DK model contributes to hygiene management at manufacturing site in addition to food safety.

All inspection results and operation logs are automatically stored with a time stamp, providing a reliable control point for production quality records. All data stored can be saved to a compact flash card. Ethernet option connects the IX-GA to the factory's LAN network.
