The National Fisheries Service (Sernapesca) reported that up to July 8, the number of farms classified as suspected of being infected with the Infectious salmon anemia (ISA) virus reached 20. Out of these centres, four are awaiting sequencing.

The latest report of the entity states that there are 16 farms with suspected ISA (HPR 0), belonging to the following companies:

Furthermore, the centres Luna 1, from the company Los Fiordos; Matilde Norte, from Australis Mar; Kraus, from Granja Marina Tornagaleones (all in Aysén Region); and Aracena 14, from Nova Austral in Magallanes Region are awaiting sequencing.

According to the latest update report on the virus status by Sernapesca, 12 fattening centres are in a "population" situation: Ninualac 2, from Itata; Huillines 3 and Ballena 1, from Cupquelan; Ladrillero, from Acuimag; and Chaullin Weste and Chaullin Norte, from Mainstream; Garrao and Francisco Sur, from Los Fiordos; and Aracena 6 and Aracena 10, from Nova Austral; Punta Ganso, from Granja Marina Tornagaleones; and Punta Vergara, from Salmones Magallanes.

Four other centres are in a "harvesting" period: Mentirosa 1, Mentirosa 2 and Ballena 4, from Cupquelán; and Chivato 1, from Salmones Itata.

With respect to the centres classified as being in the outbreak category, or confirmed as such, the agency states that the only one that remains is Bahía Perales, owned by Acuimag, located in Magallanes Region. This fish farm is in a "harvesting/ removal" condition.

Sernapesca also explained that the centres that are going through a sanitary break period are King 2, from Los Fiordos and Huillines 2, from Cupquelan. Both centres are located in Aysén Region.
