Alaska Glacier Seafoods, Inc. is owned and operated by the Erickson Family: Mike, Bonnie, Jim and Kristie. We started the company back 1996 as somewhat of a hobby. We first sold a few pounds of side-stripe shrimp that we caught in a 14-foot aluminum skiff. We also had purchased a few thousand pounds of Halibut IFQ's which we sold to a few local restaurants and at a road side stand on the weekends. In a fairly short time, we had enough demand to start buying small loads of halibut from other fishermen and our business started snowballing from there. In 2005, we opened our 10,000 square foot water front processing plant on the pristine waters of Auke Nu Cove and today we process over 7 million pounds of fish per year and employ nearly 70 people during the peak season.
We have commited our lives to processing and selling the freshest, highest quality, wild-caught Alaskan fish possible.
