Maritech delivers comprehensive, scaleable software and services for the seafood industry.

Maritech to Launch New Cloud-Based Seafood Software Tools

  (NORWAY, 2/27/2018)

Maritech's cloud-based suite of digital trading tools called DigitalSeafoodTM is aimed at seafood processors, traders and brokers, and will expand the availability of tailored, industry-specific tools to this previously under-served market sector. The portfolio will include apps for Trading, Claims, Analytics and Dashboards, among others.

Maritech, a recognized leader in developing software solutions for the seafood sector, will present its next generation of cloud-based seafood software tools at this years’
Seafood Expo North America. Seafood companies, from small traders to large multi-national organizations, are recognizing the cost and efficiency savings as well as the greater collaboration possibilities across the entire value chain that can be achieved by taking advantage of the new trends in digitalization.

Digital Seafood ™ is Maritech's suite of cloud-based solutions allowing you to collaborate with your suppliers, customers, and 3rd party logistics support right across the seafood value chain.

“Cloud-based solutions have attracted a lot of our investment in the last year and the already underlying sales success of these solutions shows the seafood sector is embracing the cost-savings and efficiency these solutions can deliver. Although Maritech already offered a trading platform that is favored by the industry, the digitalization trend is still in its early stages,” says Janne T. Morstøl, Maritech’s CEO.  “We already see signs that current and potential customers – both in Norway and internationally – aim to capitalize on the expected digitalization boom in the seafood sector.”

Maritech's Digital Seafood (DGS) platform provides applications as process support for a number of different areas.

Maritech offers process support software for the seafood industry and a specialized seafood trading platform that is the most frequently used solution among traders, processors and fish farmers in Norway. They also offer cloud-based software that tracks and traces fish from farmers and fishery to production and processing, sales and distribution, and to the consumer. Maritech expects the trend towards cloud-enabled solutions to strengthen in 2018 as seafood producers demonstrate the drive and determination to lead the way in adopting new technologies for efficient and sustainable seafood production.

Maritech's Seafood Automation solutions provide real time data capture, connect your assets and provide a complete overview of your operational processes.
