Fish Info & Services (FIS) announces significant improvements in capacity and speed
Saturday, February 25, 2012, 02:10 (GMT + 9)
In recent months, the capacity of our servers was swamped by the increased traffic and demand for information on the website. Because of this, we repeatedly suffered temporary bottlenecks due to the equipment, or at certain times of day you may have noticed a striking slowness that made it difficult to navigate in the website.
Following this situation, and considering that in recent years technology has evolved, we decided to move fis.com to new servers located in the United States within a service that will be provided by Amazon.com from next Sunday 26 February.
We are confident that with this change you will be able to navigate at faster speeds, and there will be better synchronization between
information, the database and the various requests we receive. Amazon also has a company called Alexa.com, which has developed an audit system that determines a ranking for each site in the world. For fis.com, we are hopeful to quickly improve our ranking again, as we will also make available our archives of all our information and articles over the last 12 years (up to this point, we could only show the last two years due to the limited capacity).

We are also working with our team to update the image and functionality of FIS, which has become somewhat obsolete. Soon we will show a new image, and we will gradually modernise each FIS section, not only aesthetically, but also though the technology we use.
I would like to take advantage of this opportunity to ask you to send us your comments to [email protected] Att.Development Team with observations, suggestions or ideas that will make it possible for FIS to incorporate more things or improve them. Such was the case of Youtube Channel, Facebook and Twitter, thanks to which we are followed by thousands of friends today.
The more we increase advertising revenue, the more we will be providing you with information without paywalls -- as we have done in recent years within the financial reach we had -- for more users to join and have access to more complete information. We understand that the spirit of the Internet is to make all possible information available to everyone, without any limitations.
Obviously, we must continue working and evolving with positive cash flow. Therefore, the timing of this transition is given by the evolution of the market and the use of FIS as a means to advertise your company, products and news.
I’ll soon be announcing some another good news that will please everyone.
Thanks for choosing us!
