In October 2020, the import volume of live baby clams was 1,755 tons, up 18 % from 1,487 tons a year earlier, and the cumulative import volume in October was 18,006 tons, down 0.1% from 18,031 tons a year earlier.
The average October import volume from 2015 to 2020 was 1,962 tons, down 11 % from 1,755 tons in October 2020.
The main exporter of live baby clams was China (1,755 tons) as of October 2020, with all imported from China following the previous year.
In October 2020, live baby clams import amount was USD 1.98 million, up 17 % from USD 1.69 million in the previous year, and the average unit price of imported clams in October was USD 1.13/kg, down 1% from USD 1.14/kg in the previous year. Source: Union Forsea Corp.
