In addition, with the information obtained through the "Bitácora Electrónica" application, it was possible to warn of the presence of smaller sized specimens in some areas, which led to the preventive closure of 30 fishing zones, protecting an estimated biomass of 108,481 tons of juvenile anchoveta.
Suspended fishing areas were found, mainly, in front of Isla Lobos de Tierra (Lambayeque), between Pacasmayo and Guadalupito (La Libertad), north of Chimbote (Ancash), between Huacho and Cañete (Lima); and between Tambo de Mora and Puerto Caballas (Ica).
